With the introduction of T11s, T9 is no longer a sweet spot as the former pretence of only being uptiered by +1 is now gone. I haven't played any other tier enough to get a feel for where they stand. Tier VIII is in a comparatively good place, being top tier more often than either mid tier or bottom tier. Here are my battle tier results since the official, out of testing release of superships:Īs you can see, Tier IX has been top tier less often than mid tier or bottom tier. If I play Tier IX or X, there is almost always at least 1 Supership, generally the United States CV. Personally, I have noticed an increase of games being uptiered, independently if I play Tier VIII, IX or X. At the end of the day the MM is designed to value speed over quality of match. If that is the case, it is very likely this will impact players on Tier VIII to be matched on higher Tier games to fill out the gaps, even if that breaks the theoretical "only 40%" rule. In addition, due to the amount of available Premium and Special Ships across Tier IX and X, it is possible the majority of players is playing those two specific Tiers. Before the introduction of Superships (and the recent additions made to this new Tier), Tier IX was the best (I am unsure if still is or not) Tier for generating Credits and Tier X was the highest one.
